On 28 May 2024, the Seal 06 DM-i, a stunning new mid-sized car from the BYD Ocean series, was officially launched. This cutting-edge vehicle boasts the fifth generation of DM-i technology and offers two pure electric range variants: 80 km and 120 km. The car's dimensions are 4830 mm (length), 1875 mm (width), and 1495 mm (height), with a generous wheelbase of 2790 mm. Customers can choose from 16-inch, 17-inch, and 18-inch rims. The front design is enhanced with diversion fins and a distinctive 'big mouth' front grille. The side profile features semi-hidden door handles, while the rear showcases a sleek through-light design with blackened light shells.

The Seal 06 DM-i is a visual masterpiece with a through-light taillight and an elegantly redesigned interior highlighted by an illuminated 'BYD' logo. The rear design complements the front with a chic diffuser and color-matched body trim. Available in four exquisite colors-Qinhai Green, Warm Smoke Tea, Atlantis Gray, and Snow White-this vehicle promises to make a statement on the road.

 

Regarding endurance, the Seal 06 DM-i comes with two specifications of lithium iron phosphate blade batteries: 10.08 KWH and 15.874 KWH. Under CLTC conditions, these batteries offer pure electric ranges of 80 kilometers and 120 kilometers, respectively. The comprehensive fuel consumption is impressively low, at 2.9 liters and 3.08 liters per 100 kilometers under NEDC conditions. The 120 km model supports 22 kW DC fast charging and 6.6 kW AC slow charging, with a 7 kW household charging pile included. The 80 km model supports 3.3 kW AC slow charging.

In terms of features, the Seal 06 DM-i is generously equipped with original ETC, six airbags, a rear outlet, and tire pressure monitoring. The 120 km model expands on this with a panoramic sunroof, DiPilot driver assistance system, remote airbag, 4-way electric passenger seat adjustment, and a car tachometer. The top-tier model offers an 8-speaker audio system, front seat ventilation/heating, 8-way electric main seat adjustment with memory, induction wipers, and a PM2.5 green cleaning system.
 

The Seal 06 DM-i showcases an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 15.6-inch rotating entertainment host that supports OTA remote online upgrades, CarPlay, mobile Internet functions, and online video viewing. Additional features include a multifunctional steering wheel, ambient lighting, high-end audio, an electronic shift lever, a wireless charging pad, and electrically adjustable leather seats with 8-way adjustment. These features make the SEAL 06 a truly premium offering.

The interior design embraces a family style, featuring a D-type multifunction steering wheel, floating LCD instrument cluster, and central control screen, all integrated into the DiLink intelligent network connection system. The central channel function area includes a crystal shift lever with automatic parking and various driving mode buttons.

 

For safety, the BYD SEAL 06 DM-i is equipped with advanced active safety features, including automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane departure assistance, side blind spot detection, active cruise control, and a 360-degree camera with recording functionality. The 120 km model's motor offers a peak power of 160 kW and is equipped with a 15.87 KWH battery pack, with a fuel consumption of 3.08 L/100 km under NEDC conditions.
