Wildlander
which has officially launched with an impressive lineup of 11 distinct models.
Embracing a bold and unique design, the Wildlander sets itself apart from its sibling, the FAW Toyota Rongfang. The most striking difference lies in its front fascia, where the Wildlander features a larger trapezoidal air intake grille, inspired by the Lexus spindle design. The narrow headlights exude a sleek, 'squinting' coldness, while the fog lights incorporate a larger, faux air intake design, offering a robust appearance.
While the front design is avant-garde, the side and rear profiles share similarities with the RAV4. However, the Wildlander's taillights stand out with a distinctive ring design, and the addition of fog lights at the lower rear bumper. The dual exhaust layout is consistent across both fuel and hybrid models, ensuring a unified aesthetic.
In terms of dimensions, the Wildlander measures 4665 mm in length, 1855 mm in width, and 1680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2690 mm. These proportions place it comfortably within the mainstream market segment, closely mirroring the size of the Rongfang, albeit with minor variations due to its unique styling.
Step inside, and you'll find an interior design that mirrors the Rongfeng. The center console features a multi-linear layout for a clean visual effect and clear functional partitioning. The 10.1-inch floating center control screen enhances the modern feel, and buyers can choose between dark and light interior color schemes.
The entry-level 2024 Toyota Wildlander (2.0-liter CVT two-drive lead) maintains its price point while adding new features like front and rear parking radar and the comprehensive TSS Toyota Intelligence Safety System. This includes full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, departure warning, active braking, and more.
The premium model of the 2024 Toyota Wildlander goes further, offering 360-degree panoramic imaging, electric rear doors, heated/ventilated front seats, 4G connectivity, mobile app remote control, and a HUD head-up display system.
Safety is a paramount focus, with all Wildlander models equipped with 7 SRS airbags, regardless of configuration level. The latest generation of Toyota TSS (Toyota Safety System) 2.0 ensures top-notch protective features. The Wildlander offers three powertrains: a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 126 kW with 209 Nm of torque paired with a CVT; a 2.5-liter gas-electric hybrid system generating 163 kW, featuring an EV mode and E-Four all-wheel drive; and a 2.5-liter plug-in hybrid with 132 kW engine power and 224 Nm torque, plus a 134 kW electric motor with 270 Nm torque, matched to an E-CVT transmission.
