On May 28, 2024, the much-anticipated Seal 06 DM-i, a new mid-sized marvel from BYD Ocean, made its grand debut. This pioneering vehicle incorporates the state-of-the-art fifth generation DM-i technology and offers dual pure electric range options of 80 km and 120 km. The car boasts impressive dimensions of 4830 mm in length, 1875 mm in width, and 1495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2790 mm. It features stunning 16-inch, 17-inch, and 18-inch rims. The front fascia is adorned with aerodynamic fins and a distinctive 'big mouth' grille, while the sleek side profile sports semi-hidden door handles. The rear is accentuated by a striking through-through taillight design, complemented by a blackened light shell.
The Seal 06 DM-i is a visual delight with its through-through taillight, featuring a redesigned interior illuminated with a glowing 'BYD' logo. The rear contour mirrors the front, enhanced by a diffuser design and body color trim. Available in four captivating colors-Qinhai Green, Warm Smoke Tea, Atlantis Gray, and Snow White-this vehicle is tailored to impress.
In terms of endurance, Seal 06 DM-i is outfitted with two specifications of high-performance lithium iron phosphate blade batteries: 10.08 KWH and 15.874 KWH. These provide pure electric ranges of 80 kilometers and 120 kilometers, respectively, under CLTC conditions. The car boasts exceptional fuel efficiency, with a comprehensive fuel consumption of 2.9 liters and 3.08 liters per 100 kilometers under NEDC conditions. The 120 km model supports 22 kW DC fast charging and 6.6 kW AC slow charging (including a 7 kW household charging pile), while the 80 km model offers 3.3 kW AC slow charging.
When it comes to configuration, the Seal 06 DM-i leaves no stone unturned. Features include original ETC, 6 airbags, rear air vents, and tire pressure monitoring.
