BYD's latest mid-size marvel, the Qin L DM-i, has officially made its grand debut with a lineup of five distinct models. Positioned above the Qin PLUS DM-i, this sedan showcases BYD's cutting-edge fifth-generation DM (plug-in hybrid) technology. Adding to the excitement, the all-new BYD Ocean Network model, the Seal 06 DM-i, has also been unveiled simultaneously.
The Qin L DM-i's exterior continues the exquisite 'Longyan Design Aesthetics' of the Dynasty Net series, featuring a sleek, flattened profile. It is adorned with a brand-new headlight assembly and striking bright black connecting decorative panels. The imposing front grille stands out with its large size, dot matrix chrome trim, and side ventilation slots, enhancing its sporty appeal compared to the Qin PLUS. The Qin L DM-i comes in four captivating body colors: Ice Green, Jianyao Purple, Runyu White, and Tea Crystal Grey.
The Qin L DM-i's side profile boasts a sophisticated two-stage waistline, culminating in a graceful sloping design. The rear is equally impressive, with a brand-new through-type light strip and intricately designed tail lights resembling a 'Chinese knot,' complemented by a luminous 'BYD' logo. The dimensions are generous, measuring 4830/1900/1495 mm (length/width/height), with a wheelbase of 2790 mm. Compared to the Qin PLUS DM-i, the Qin L DM-i is 65 mm longer, 63 mm wider, and has a 72 mm longer wheelbase, while maintaining the same height.
Step inside the Qin L DM-i to experience elegance and innovation. The interior offers two stylish color options: Haoyue Mi and Xuanwu Grey. The center console is sleek and minimalist, featuring an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel with a sophisticated embedded design. The floating center console screen varies by model, available in 10.1-inch, 12.8-inch, and 15.6-inch sizes, all integrated with the advanced DiLink intelligent networking system.
Under the hood, the Qin L DM-i is powered by BYD's fifth-generation DM technology, seamlessly integrating a 1.5-liter engine with a drive motor. The 1.5-liter engine delivers a maximum power of 74 kW, while the drive motor offers two peak power options: 120 kW and 160 kW, achieving top speeds of 180 km/h. The vehicle features two lithium iron phosphate blade battery options with capacities of 10.08 kWh and 15.874 kWh, providing a pure electric range of 80 km and 120 km under CLTC conditions. The comprehensive fuel consumption is impressively low, at 2.9 liters and 3.08 liters per 100 kilometers under NEDC conditions. The car's handling is further enhanced with a standard front MacPherson suspension and a new rear E-type four-link independent suspension.
Strategically positioned and competitively priced, the Qin L DM-i bridges the gap between the Qin PLUS DM-i and the Han DM-i within the Dynasty Net series.
