BYD's luxurious mid-size sedan, the Qin L DM-i, is now officially available with an impressive lineup of 5 distinct models. Positioned above the Qin PLUS DM-i, this vehicle showcases BYD's cutting-edge fifth-generation plug-in hybrid (DM) technology. Simultaneously, the new model from BYD Ocean Network, the Seal 06 DM-i, has also made its debut.
In terms of appearance, the Qin L DM-i epitomizes the 'Longyan Design Aesthetics' of the Dynasty Net model, featuring a sleek and flattened silhouette, a brand new headlight ensemble, and striking bright black connecting decorative panels. Its bold front grille is accentuated by an intricate dot matrix chrome trim and side ventilation slots, enhancing its sporty essence compared to the Qin PLUS. Available in four exquisite body colors: Ice Green, Jianyao Purple, Runyu White, and Tea Crystal Grey, the Qin L DM-i offers a palette as sophisticated as its engineering.
From the side, the Qin L DM-i boasts a dynamic two-stage waistline and a gracefully sloping rear half. The rear is adorned with an innovative through-type light strip and tail lights featuring an intricate 'Chinese knot' design, complemented by a luminous 'BYD' logo. With dimensions measuring 4830/1900/1495 millimeters and a wheelbase of 2790 millimeters, the Qin L DM-i offers an expanded length, width, and wheelbase over the Qin PLUS DM-i, ensuring enhanced interior space and comfort.
The interior of the Qin L DM-i is available in two refined color schemes: Haoyue Mi and Xuanwu Grey. The center console is elegantly minimalist, showcasing an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel in an embedded design. Depending on the model, a floating center console screen is available in three sizes: 10.1-inch, 12.8-inch, and 15.6-inch, all integrated with the advanced DiLink intelligent networking system to elevate user experience.
Harnessing BYD's pioneering fifth-generation DM technology, the Qin L DM-i features a sophisticated plug-in hybrid system comprising a 1.5-liter engine and an electric drive motor. The engine offers a maximum power of 74 kW, while the motor provides two peak power options of 120 kW and 160 kW, achieving top speeds of 180 km/h. The car is fitted with two variants of lithium iron phosphate blade batteries, with capacities of 10.08 kWh and 15.874 kWh, granting pure electric ranges of 80 km and 120 km under CLTC conditions. Fuel efficiency is exemplary, with NEDC conditions reflecting consumption rates of 2.9 liters and 3.08 liters per 100 kilometers. Additionally, the vehicle comes standard with a front MacPherson suspension and a newly designed rear E-type four-link independent suspension for superior handling.
