On April 18, 2024, Ideal Automobile proudly introduced the new five-seater SUV, the Ideal L6 (picture | configuration | inquiry), to the market. The vehicle comes in two distinct versions: Pro and Max. Previous reports suggest that Ideal Automobile will also unveil three pure electric models this year, all featuring electric four-wheel drive and advanced 5C charging technology.

The exterior design of the Ideal L6 is a seamless continuation of the L-series family aesthetic, complete with star ring headlights and through-type tail lights. A laser radar on the roof serves as a distinguishing mark between high and low-end models. The front face has been simplified by removing chrome trim, concentrating functional elements within a sleek black area for a more minimalist look.

The Ideal L6 offers a range of sophisticated body color options, including black, gray, silver, and white metallic paints. Additionally, there are special edition colors such as green pearl and small elephant gray cool gloss paints, catering to an array of personal tastes.


The interior of the Ideal L6 mirrors the luxurious design of the Ideal L7, featuring a large central control screen and a passenger entertainment screen. An empty storage compartment in the central aisle adds functionality, though it lacks a passenger 'boss button'. Interior color schemes include three stylish options: black and white, black and orange, and a sporty black. The resemblance between the interiors of the L6 and L7 makes them almost indistinguishable.


The Ideal L6 boasts comprehensive intelligent driving assistance features such as automatic emergency braking, front and rear collision warnings, and automated parking solutions. It supports wireless projection, AI Ideal Classmate, and a Dolby panoramic sound system with 19 speakers. The Pro version is powered by Horizon Journey 5 chips with 128TOPS of computing power, while the Max version uses 2 NVIDIA Orin-x chips, offering a massive 508TOPS. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chips are standard across both versions.


The Ideal L6 Max version introduces the advanced intelligent driving AD Max function. For high-speed NOA, it includes optional ETC or manual channel functions for toll station access. The urban LCC feature now has a 'driver's seat command function,' allowing direct voice instructions to the AI for maneuvers like turning left. Ideal Automobile also announced that the City NOA function will soon be available nationwide for the Max version.

The Ideal L6's seating offers unparalleled comfort, featuring ten-point massage for the first-row seats and ventilation/heating functions for both the first and second rows. The Max model also includes a car refrigerator. While the series does not offer rear entertainment screens, it comes with a non-openable panoramic sunroof covering 1.26 square meters. The audio setup in the Max version is the Ideal Platinum audio system, identical to the MEGA, whereas the Pro version features a premium sound system.


Under the hood, the Ideal L6 is powered by a 36.8 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery from Ningde Times, offering a CLTC-certified range of 212 kilometers. The official charging time from 20% to 80% is just 20 minutes. Additionally, it includes a 1.5-liter engine (range extender) from Sichuan Ideal Xinchen Technology Co., Ltd., model L2E15M, delivering a maximum power of 113 kW. The combined power output of the system is 300 kW, with a peak torque of 529 Nm. The chassis features front double wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension, a standard electric four-wheel drive system, and CDC continuous variable damping shock absorbers, though it lacks air suspension.
