On 28 May 2024, Seal 06 DM-i, a dazzling new mid-sized marvel from BYD Ocean, was officially unveiled. This cutting-edge car boasts the revolutionary fifth generation DM-i technology, offering two variants with pure electric ranges of 80 km and 120 km. The vehicle's dimensions are elegant and spacious, measuring 4830 mm in length, 1875 mm in width, and 1495 mm in height, complemented by a wheelbase of 2790 mm. Choose from stylish 16 inch, 17 inch, and 18 inch rims. The striking front features integrated diversion fins and a bold 'big mouth' front grille. The sleek side profile showcases semi-hidden door handles, while the rear light group flaunts a chic, through-through design with a blackened light shell.

The Seal 06 DM-i impresses with its distinctive through-through taillight, featuring a revamped interior illuminated by a glowing 'BYD' logo. The harmonious rear design mirrors the front aesthetic, enhanced by a diffuser and colorful body trims. The car is offered in four captivating colors: Qinhai Green, Warm Smoke Tea, Atlantis Gray, and Snow White.

 

When it comes to endurance, the Seal 06 DM-i excels with lithium iron phosphate blade batteries available in two capacities: 10.08 KWH and 15.874 KWH, delivering respective pure electric ranges of 80 kilometers and 120 kilometers under CLTC conditions. The fuel economy under NEDC conditions is equally impressive, at 2.9 liters and 3.08 liters per 100 kilometers. The 120km model supports 22 kW DC fast charging and 6.6 kW AC slow charging (including a 7 kW household charging pile), while the 80km model offers 3.3 kW AC slow charging.

In terms of features, the Seal 06 DM-i is generously equipped with original ETC, 6 airbags, rear air vents, and tire pressure monitoring. The 120 km model ups the ante with a panoramic sunroof, DiPilot driver assistance, remote airbag, four-way electric passenger seat adjustment, and an onboard tachorecorder. The top-tier variant further adds an 8-speaker system, ventilated/heated front seats, 8-way electric main seat adjustment with memory, induction wipers, and a PM2.5 green cleaning system.
 

The Seal 06 DM-i showcases a luxurious interior with an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 15.6-inch rotating entertainment hub supporting OTA updates, CarPlay, mobile internet, and online video streaming. The multi-functional steering wheel, ambient lighting, advanced audio system, electronic shift lever, wireless charging pad, and electrically adjustable leather seats with 8-way electric adjustments further underline its opulence.

The interior design follows a sophisticated family style, featuring a D-type multifunction steering wheel, floating LCD instrument cluster, and a central control screen with an integrated DiLink intelligent network system.
