Recently, GAC Toyota unveiled the unparalleled 2024 Toyota Wildlander.

The Wildlander stands out with its uniquely styled exterior, setting it apart from its 'sibling,' the FAW Toyota Rongfang. The most striking difference is the front face design. While both models share a trapezoidal air intake grille, the Wildlander's is notably larger, reminiscent of the Lexus spindle grille. Its headlights are narrower, exuding a sleek, 'squinting' coldness. Moreover, the Wildlander's fog lights feature a larger, air intake-inspired design.
While the front design is distinctly unconventional, the Wildlander's side and rear design bear some resemblance to the RAV4. Noticeably, the taillight's internal design forms a ring, and the rear bumper's lower end features an added fog light. Both the fuel and hybrid models boast dual-side exhaust layouts, which is worth mentioning for its robust design.
With dimensions of 4665 mm in length, 1855 mm in width, and 1680 mm in height, along with a wheelbase of 2690 mm, the Wildlander asserts its presence in the market, closely aligning with the Rongfang, albeit with distinctive styling nuances.
Inside the cabin, the Wildlander's interior largely mirrors that of the Rongfang. The center console features a multi-linear design, offering a clean, straightforward visual effect with clear functional divisions. The 10.1-inch center control screen employs a suspended design, and the interior color options include both dark and light themes.
The 2024 Toyota Wildlander Entry model (2.0-liter CVT two-drive lead) maintains its pricing while enhancing features with new front and rear parking radars and the TSS Toyota Intelligence Safety System. This system encompasses full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, departure warning, active braking, and more.
The premium model of the 2024 Toyota Wildlander further elevates the driving experience with 360-degree panoramic views, electric rear doors, front seat heating/ventilation, 4G network connectivity, mobile app remote control, and a HUD head-up display system.
The Wildlander's standout feature is its comprehensive safety configuration. All models come standard with 7 SRS airbags, even the lower-tier versions. Additionally, they are equipped with the latest Toyota TSS (Toyota Safety System) 2.0 technology. In the China Insurance Automobile Safety Index crash tests, Toyota's TNGA products, including GAC Toyota's Levin and Camry, have consistently achieved high scores.
The Wildlander offers three powertrains: a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine, a 2.5-liter gas-electric hybrid, and a 2.5-liter plug-in hybrid. The 2.0-liter engine delivers a maximum power of 126 kW and a maximum torque of 209 Nm, paired with a CVT transmission. The 2.5-liter dual-engine hybrid system offers a maximum power of 163 kW, featuring an EV pure electric mode and the E-Four four-wheel drive system. The high-performance version comes with a 2.5-liter plug-in hybrid system, featuring a maximum engine power of 132 kW, a maximum torque of 224 Nm, an electric motor power of 134 kW, and a maximum torque of 270 Nm, combined with an E-CVT transmission.
