As a pioneering plug-in hybrid, it boasts three innovative power systems. In EV mode, it operates primarily on pure electricity, making it ideal for daily commutes without fuel consumption. The AUTO EV/HEV mode, a true 'set it and forget it' system, seamlessly integrates engine power for optimal performance. When in HEV mode, the system intelligently switches to engine and motor output during low battery, ensuring continuous driving with increased fuel consumption and engine noise.

 

The advanced chassis suspension system of this model employs a front McPherson and rear multi-link independent suspension. During high-speed cornering on the track, the car exhibited noticeable roll and a less responsive steering feel. Despite its impressive power reserve, it is not designed for aggressive driving. The RAV4 Dual Engine E+ offers ample space, with the front seat adjusted to fit an editor (178 cm, 160 kg), leaving generous legroom and headspace in the back. The seats provide excellent comfort, and despite being a four-wheel drive model, the central platform remains low, accommodating three passengers comfortably.

The battery pack comes with a 6-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty. The pure electric range is 95 km for the two-wheel drive version and 87 km for the four-wheel drive version. The fuel tank capacity stands at 55 liters, offering an official fuel consumption of 1.1 liters per 100 kilometers, with a combined driving range exceeding 1100 km.
 

Highlighting its advanced technology, the RAV4 Dual Engine E+ is equipped with a sophisticated plug-in hybrid system featuring a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle engine paired with an electric motor.
