Recently, GAC Toyota unveiled the 2024 Toyota Wildlander,
a strikingly advanced SUV,
officially launching with an impressive lineup of 11 distinct models.
In its design, the Wildlander embraces a bold, unique style to set itself apart from its sibling, the FAW Toyota Rongfang. The most notable distinction is the front facade: although both feature a trapezoidal air intake grille, the Wildlander's is more pronounced, evoking the elegance of a Lexus spindle grille. Additionally, the Wildlander's narrow, 'squinting' headlights exude a sleek, cold intensity. The fog lights adopt a larger, imitation air intake design, further enhancing its striking front profile.
While the Wildlander's front design is distinctive, its side and rear profiles bear similarities to the RAV4. The taillights feature a prominent ring design, and the rear bumper incorporates added fog lights. Both fuel and hybrid variants boast a dual-sided exhaust layout, reinforcing the design's consistency and practicality.
Dimensionally, the Wildlander measures 4665 mm in length, 1855 mm in width, and 1680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2690 mm. These dimensions place it firmly within the mainstream market segment, offering a size comparable to the Rongfang but with slight variations due to its unique shape.
Inside, the Wildlander's interior closely mirrors that of the Rongfeng, featuring a multi-linear center control design that is visually simplistic yet functionally distinct. The 10.1-inch floating center control screen enhances the modern aesthetic. Interior color options include a dark and a light-colored version, catering to diverse preferences.
The entry-level 2024 Toyota Wildlander (2.0-liter CVT two-wheel drive) maintains a consistent price point, now enhanced with front and rear parking radar and the TSS Toyota Intelligence Safety System. This system includes full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, departure warning, and active braking, ensuring top-notch safety.
The premium model of the 2024 Toyota Wildlander offers an array of luxurious features: 360-degree panoramic imaging, electric rear doors, heated and ventilated front seats, 4G connectivity, mobile app remote control, and a HUD head-up display system, ensuring a premium driving experience.

The Wildlander offers three robust powertrains: a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine delivering 126 kW of power and 209 Nm of torque with a CVT transmission; a 2.5-liter gas-electric hybrid system with 163 kW of power, EV mode, and E-Four all-wheel drive; and a high-performance 2.5-liter plug-in hybrid that boasts a maximum engine power of 132 kW and 224 Nm of torque, paired with a powerful electric motor providing 134 kW and 270 Nm, managed by an E-CVT transmission.
