The extended range version of AITO M5 model showcases a prominent front-end transformation, where the traditional trapezoidal air intake grille has been elegantly replaced with a sleek closed design, akin to the old pure electric model. All other attributes harmoniously mirror those of the preceding model.
The AITO M5 dazzles with two fresh and alluring color options in its paintwork—Tahiti gray, reminiscent of the vibrant live vehicle color, and the bold Metropolitan red. Accentuating this, the brake calipers are painted in striking red. The brand logo on the front face, the stylish side-view camera cover on the front fender, the rim, and the tail logo are all tastefully blackened.
There is no change in the interior of AITO M5, where simplicity and elegance dominate the design. It is thoughtfully equipped with a two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel, a sophisticated HUD head-up display system, a commanding 15.6-inch suspension center screen, and a convenient wireless fast charging panel featuring dual charging positions.
In terms of intelligent driving assistance, the AITO M5 continues to employ a cutting-edge Lidar-based solution to facilitate high-speed NCA (pilot-assisted driving function) and urban NCA, all achieved without the need for high-precision maps. While Huawei has pioneered an intelligent driving solution relying solely on a visual framework, this has yet to be integrated into the newly minted Q M5.
In terms of power, the AITO M5 remains available in both extended range and pure electric power versions. The extended range model offers two dynamic power configurations: rear-drive and four-wheel drive, each powered by a 1.5T four-cylinder range extender. The rear-drive variant features a robust rear axle drive motor delivering a maximum power of 200 kW. For the four-wheel drive model, the front and rear motors boast maximum power outputs of 165 kW and 200 kW, respectively. The power battery capacity stands at an impressive 42 KWH, granting the rear-drive version a CLTC pure battery range of 255 km, while the four-wheel drive version provides a 230 km range.
The pure electric variant currently offered comes exclusively in a rear-drive version, with its drive motor's power specifications mirroring those of the extended-range model. It is paired with a formidable 83 KWH battery pack, delivering an exceptional CLTC range of 602 km.
