On 28 May 2024, the stunning Seal 06 DM-i, a new mid-sized marvel from BYD Ocean, was officially unveiled. This elegant addition to the lineup boasts the cutting-edge fifth generation of DM-i technology, offering two pure electric range options of 80 km and 120 km. Its sleek body dimensions are 4830 mm in length, 1875 mm in width, and 1495 mm in height, complemented by a wheelbase of 2790 mm. Choose from stylish 16-inch, 17-inch, and 18-inch rims. The front design is highlighted by aerodynamic diversion fins and an imposing 'big mouth' front grille, while the side features semi-hidden door handles, and the rear lights showcase a through-through design with a chic blackened light shell.

The Seal 06 DM-i dazzles with a through-through taillight, a reimagined interior adorned with an illuminating 'BYD' logo, and a cohesive rear design mirroring the front. The addition of a diffuser and body-color trim enhances its sophisticated look. It will be available in four captivating colors: Qinhai Green, Warm Smoke Tea, Atlantis Gray, and Snow White.

 

Regarding endurance, the Seal 06 DM-i is equipped with two variants of lithium iron phosphate blade batteries, with capacities of 10.08 KWH and 15.874 KWH. These provide a pure electric range of 80 km and 120 km under CLTC conditions, respectively. The comprehensive fuel consumption is impressively efficient, at 2.9 liters and 3.08 liters per 100 kilometers under NEDC conditions. The 120km model supports 22 kW DC fast charging and 6.6 kW AC slow charging (including a 7 kW household charging pile), while the 80km model offers 3.3 kW AC slow charging.

In terms of configuration, the Seal 06 DM-i is generously equipped with features such as original ETC, six airbags, rear air vents, tire pressure monitoring, and more. The 120 km model adds a panoramic sunroof, DiPilot driver assistance system, remote airbag, four-way electric passenger seat adjustment, and a car tachorecorder. The top model includes an eight-speaker system, front seat ventilation/heating, eight-way electric adjustment with memory for the driver's seat, induction wipers, and a PM2.5 green cleaning system.
 

The Seal 06 DM-i offers a luxurious interior equipped with an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 15.6-inch rotating entertainment display. This system supports OTA remote online upgrades, Carplay, mobile internet functions, and online video viewing. Additional features include a multi-functional steering wheel, ambient lighting, advanced audio systems, an electronic shift lever, wireless charging pad, and eight-way adjustable leather seats.
