Wildlander
in an official launch, showcasing a lineup of 11 distinct models.
In terms of exterior design, the Wildlander boasts a unique and standout style, setting it apart from its sibling, the FAW Toyota Rongfang. The most striking difference lies in the front fascia design. While both feature a trapezoidal air intake grille, the Wildlander's grille is larger, exuding a Lexus spindle-like appeal. Furthermore, its headlights are sharply narrowed, imparting an intense, 'squinting' look. Adding to this, the Wildlander features larger imitation air intake-styled fog lights, enhancing its bold presence.
While the front design of the Wildlander is decidedly unconventional, its side and rear profiles bear a closer resemblance to the RAV4. Notably, the taillights have a unique ring design, and the rear bumper incorporates a fog light at the lower end. The exhaust system adopts a dual-side layout, which is consistent across both the fuel and hybrid models.
In terms of dimensions, the Veranda measures 4665 mm in length, 1855 mm in width, and 1680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2690 mm. These measurements place it firmly within the mainstream of its market segment, closely mirroring the size of the Rongfang, albeit with slight variations due to design differences.
Inside the cabin, the Wildlander's interior design closely mimics that of the Rongfeng. The center console features a multi-linear design, offering a clean and straightforward visual effect with clear functional partitions. A standout feature is the 10.1-inch floating center control screen. The interior color schemes include both dark and light options, catering to varied tastes.
The entry-level 2024 Toyota Wildlander (2.0-liter CVT two-wheel drive) comes with notable enhancements such as new front and rear parking radars and the TSS Toyota Intelligence Safety System. One of the Wildlander's most impressive features is its safety configuration. The entire lineup comes standard with 7 SRS airbags, regardless of the model's configuration. The fuel version features a 2.0-liter engine delivering a maximum power of 126 kW and maximum torque of 209 Nm, paired with a CVT. The 2.5-liter hybrid system offers a maximum power of 163 kW, EV mode, and an E-Four all-wheel-drive system. The high-performance plug-in hybrid variant boasts a 2.5-liter engine with a maximum power of 132 kW and torque of 224 Nm, combined with an electric motor producing 134 kW and 270 Nm, coupled with an E-CVT.
