On April 18, 2024, the sleek, all-new five-seater SUV from Ideal Automobile - the Ideal L6 (picture | configuration | inquiry) was unveiled to the market, available in two versions: Pro and Max. Building on previous reports, Ideal Automobile is set to launch three additional pure electric models this year, all boasting electric four-wheel drive and the cutting-edge 5C charging technology.

In terms of aesthetics, the Ideal L6's design stays true to the L-series family's distinctive style, featuring iconic star ring headlights and striking through-type tail lights. The roof-mounted laser radar distinctly marks the difference between high and low configuration models. The chrome trim has been removed from the front face, concentrating functional elements within a sleek black area, enhancing the vehicle's minimalist front appearance.

For body color options, the Ideal L6 offers a stunning range including black, gray, silver, and white metallic paints. Additionally, it features special edition finishes such as green pearl paint and small elephant gray cool gloss paint, ensuring a vibrant and personalized look.


Inside, the Ideal L6 mirrors the interior design of the Ideal L7, equipped with a robust central control screen and an entertainment screen for passengers. A spacious storage compartment graces the central aisle, although it lacks a 'boss button' for passenger control. Interior color choices include black and white, black and orange, and a sporty black theme. The cabins of L6 and L7 are nearly indistinguishable.


When it comes to intelligent driving, the Ideal L6 shines with comprehensive intelligent driving assistance features, including automatic emergency braking, collision warning for front and rear, automated parking, valet parking, remote parking, and more. Intelligent space is supported by wireless projection, AI Ideal Classmate, and a Dolby panoramic sound system with an impressive 19 speakers. The Pro version boasts Horizon Journey 5 chips with 128TOPS computing power, while the Max version is powered by dual NVIDIA Orin-x chips with a combined power of 508TOPS. Both versions utilize Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chips.


The Ideal L6 Max version elevates intelligent driving with the AD Max function, and introduces high-speed NOA with optional ETC or manual channel functions for toll station access. The urban LCC includes a 'driver's seat command function'-simply instruct Ideal Classmate to 'turn left' at intersections. Additionally, the City NOA function in the Max version will gradually be available on all road sections nationwide.

Comfort is paramount in the Ideal L6, offering ten-point massage for the front seats, with both the first and second rows featuring ventilation and heating. The Max model includes a car refrigerator, and across the series, the rear entertainment screen is replaced by a panoramic sunroof (non-openable) measuring 1.26 square meters. The Ideal L6 Max is outfitted with the same Ideal Platinum audio system as the MEGA model, while the Pro version features a premium sound system.


Under the hood, the Ideal L6 is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery from Ningde Times, boasting a capacity of 36.8 kilowatt-hours. It delivers a pure electric range of 212 kilometers under CLTC conditions, with a charging time from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes. The vehicle also features a 1.5-liter engine (range extender) from Sichuan Ideal Xinchen Technology Co., Ltd., model L2E15M, with a maximum power output of 113 kilowatts. The total power system output reaches 300 kW, providing a peak torque of 529 Nm. The chassis includes a front double wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension, a standard electric four-wheel drive system, CDC continuous variable damping shock absorbers, but no air suspension.
