On 28 May 2024, the Seal 06 DM-i, a revolutionary mid-sized car from BYD Ocean, was officially unveiled. This remarkable vehicle incorporates the cutting-edge fifth generation DM-i technology and offers two exceptional pure electric range options: 80 km and 120 km. The dimensions of this stylish sedan are 4830 mm in length, 1875 mm in width, and 1495 mm in height, with a generous wheelbase of 2790 mm. Customers can choose from 16 inch, 17 inch, and 18 inch rims. The front fascia boasts integrated diversion fins and a bold 'big mouth' front grille, while the sleek side profile features semi-hidden door handles. At the rear, a striking through-through taillight design with blackened light shells adds a touch of sophistication.
The Seal 06 DM-i impresses with its striking through-through taillights, complete with a light-emitting 'BYD' logo. The rear design harmoniously mirrors the front, featuring a distinctive diffuser and color-matched body trim. Available in four captivating colors: Qinhai Green, Warm Smoke Tea, Atlantis Gray, and Snow White, this sedan is designed to turn heads and make a statement wherever it goes.
In terms of endurance, the Seal 06 DM-i is powered by two variants of lithium iron phosphate blade batteries, offering capacities of 10.08 kWh and 15.874 kWh. These batteries enable a pure electric range of 80 km and 120 km under CLTC conditions, respectively. The comprehensive fuel consumption under NEDC conditions is impressively low at 2.9 liters and 3.08 liters per 100 kilometers. The 120 km model supports 22 kW DC fast charging and 6.6 kW AC slow charging (with a 7 kW household charging pile included), while the 80 km model offers 3.3 kW AC slow charging.
In terms of configuration, the Seal 06 DM-i comes equipped with original ETC, six airbags, rear air vents, tire pressure monitoring, and more. The 120 km model enhances luxury with a panoramic sunroof, DiPilot driver assistance system, remote airbag, four-way electric passenger seat adjustment, and a car tachorecorder. The top-tier model elevates comfort with an eight-speaker audio system, ventilated and heated front seats, an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat with memory, auto-sensing wipers, and a PM2.5 air purification system.
The Seal 06 DM-i features an advanced 8.8-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch rotating entertainment host that supports OTA remote online upgrades, CarPlay, mobile internet functionality, and online video streaming. Additional premium amenities include a multi-functional steering wheel, ambient lighting, high-fidelity audio, an electronic gear shifter, a wireless charging pad, and electrically adjustable leather seats with eight-way power adjustment, ensuring a comfortable and connected driving experience.
The interior of the Seal 06 DM-i showcases a sophisticated family style, complete with a D-type multi-function steering wheel, floating LCD instrument panel, and central control screen.
