On 28 May 2024, Seal 06 DM-i, a new mid-sized car from the BYD Ocean series, was officially launched. This forward-thinking vehicle showcases the fifth generation of DM-i technology and offers two pure electric range versions: 80 km and 120 km. Measuring 4830 mm in length, 1875 mm in width, and 1495 mm in height, with a generous wheelbase of 2790 mm, the Seal 06 DM-i comes with 16-inch, 17-inch, and 18-inch rims. Its sleek front end integrates diversion fins and a prominent 'big mouth' front grille, while the car's sides feature semi-hidden door handles. The rear light cluster boasts a through-through design with a chic blackened light shell.

The Seal 06 DM-i impresses with a through-through taillight and a refined interior that includes a glowing 'BYD' logo. The rear design mirrors the front fascia, incorporating a stylish diffuser and body-colored trim. Available in four sophisticated colors-Qinhai Green, Warm Smoke Tea, Atlantis Gray, and Snow White-the Seal 06 DM-i is poised to make a visual statement on the road.

 

With endurance in mind, the Seal 06 DM-i is equipped with two specifications of lithium iron phosphate blade batteries: 10.08 KWH and 15.874 KWH. These power the car to a pure electric range of 80 kilometers and 120 kilometers, respectively, under CLTC conditions. The vehicle boasts a remarkably low comprehensive fuel consumption of 2.9 liters and 3.08 liters per 100 kilometers under NEDC conditions. Additionally, the 120 km model supports 22 kW DC fast charge and 6.6 kW AC slow charge, with an included 7 kW household charging pile, whereas the 80 km model offers a 3.3 kW AC slow charge.

In terms of configuration, the Seal 06 DM-i features original ETC, 6 airbags, rear air outlets, tire pressure monitoring, and more. The 120 km model also includes a panoramic sunroof, the DiPilot driver assistance system, a remote airbag, 4-way electric adjustment for the passenger seat, and a car tachorecorder. The top-tier model boasts an 8-speaker system, ventilated/heated front seats, 8-way electric adjustment with memory for the driver's seat, induction wipers, and a PM2.5 green cleaning system.
 

The Seal 06 DM-i offers an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 15.6-inch rotating entertainment display that supports OTA remote online upgrades, CarPlay, mobile internet functions, and online video viewing. The multifunctional steering wheel, ambient lighting, premium audio, electronic shift lever, and wireless charging pad (with electric adjustable leather seats supporting 8-way electric adjustment) add to the Seal 06's high-value features.

Inside, the Seal 06 DM-i embraces a family-style design with a D-type multifunction steering wheel, floating LCD instrument panel, and central control screen. It integrates the advanced DiLink intelligent network connection system. The central console area features a crystal shift lever with automatic parking and driving mode buttons, epitomizing luxury and convenience.

 

Regarding safety, the BYD Seal 06 DM-i is equipped with comprehensive advanced active safety features.
