On 28 May 2024, Seal 06 DM-i, a groundbreaking mid-sized car from BYD Ocean, was officially introduced. This innovative vehicle boasts the fifth generation of DM-i technology and offers two impressive pure electric range versions: 80 km and 120 km. With dimensions measuring 4830 mm in length, 1875 mm in width, and 1495 mm in height, complemented by a 2790 mm wheelbase, this model stands out. The car is available with 16-inch, 17-inch, and 18-inch rims. The front design elegantly integrates diversion fins and a prominent 'big mouth' front grille, while the side features semi-hidden door handles. At the rear, a sleek through-through light group with a blackened light shell completes the modern aesthetic.

The Seal 06 DM-i features a sophisticated through-through taillight and a reimagined interior highlighted by a luminous 'BYD' logo. The rear design harmoniously complements the front, incorporating a diffuser and body color trim. This model is available in four distinctive colors: Qinhai Green, Warm Smoke Tea, Atlantis Gray, and Snow White, providing a palette that suits diverse tastes and preferences.

 

Regarding endurance, this vehicle is equipped with two types of lithium iron phosphate blade batteries with capacities of 10.08 KWH and 15.874 KWH. The respective pure electric ranges under CLTC conditions are 80 kilometers and 120 kilometers. Fuel consumption under NEDC conditions is 2.9 liters and 3.08 liters per 100 kilometers, respectively. The 120km model supports 22 kW DC fast charging and 6.6 kW AC slow charging (including a 7 kW household charging pile), while the 80km model offers 3.3 kW AC slow charging.

In terms of features, the Seal 06 DM-i comes with standard original ETC, 6 airbags, rear air vents, and tire pressure monitoring. The 120 km model adds a panoramic sunroof, the DiPilot driver assistance system, remote airbag, 4-way electric passenger seat adjustment, and an in-car tachorecorder. The top-tier model includes an 8-speaker system, front seat ventilation/heating, 8-way electric main seat adjustment with memory, sensor wipers, and a PM2.5 green cleaning system, among other enhancements.
 

The Seal 06 DM-i boasts an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel and a 15.6-inch rotating entertainment host capable of OTA remote online upgrades, CarPlay, mobile internet functions, and online video viewing. Its multifunctional steering wheel, ambient lighting, high-tech audio system, electronic shift lever, and wireless charging pad elevate the driving experience. The electric adjustable leather seats (with 8-way adjustment) add a touch of luxury.

The interior showcases a family-style design equipped with a D-type multifunction steering wheel, a floating LCD instrument panel, and a central control screen. The built-in DiLink intelligent network connection system ensures seamless connectivity. The 120km model features a driving motor with a maximum power of 160 kW, coupled with a 15.87 KWH lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with a fuel consumption of 3.08 L/100 km under NEDC conditions.
