This stunning Wildlander
has made its grand debut with a remarkable lineup of 11 diverse models.
The design of the Wildlander exudes uniqueness, distinguishing itself from its sibling, the FAW Toyota Rongfang. The front face of the Wildlander, though featuring a similar trapezoidal air intake grille, is larger and reminiscent of a Lexus spindle grille. Its sleek, narrow headlights add a striking, 'squinting' coldness to its look, while the generously-sized fog lights incorporate an imitation air intake design for an imposing presence.
While the front face grabs attention with its boldness, the side and rear design differences between the Wildlander and the RAV4 are subtler. Notably, the taillights have a distinctive ring shape, and the rear bumper houses additional fog lights. The exhaust system features a dual-sided layout, a standard feature for both the fuel and hybrid versions.
Measuring 4665 mm in length, 1855 mm in width, and 1680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2690 mm, the Wildlander fits comfortably within the mainstream market segment. Its dimensions are largely similar to those of the Rongfang, though it boasts a unique shape that sets it apart.
Inside the car, the Wildlander's interior closely mirrors that of the Rongfeng. The center control design is sleek and multi-linear, providing a clean visual effect with clear functional divisions. The 10.1-inch center control screen features a modern suspension design. Besides the standard dark interior, a light-colored version is also available for those seeking a different ambiance.
The 2024 Toyota Wildlander entry model (2.0-liter CVT two-drive lead) maintains its competitive pricing while adding new features like front and rear parking radar and the advanced TSS Toyota Intelligence Safety System. This system includes full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, departure warning, active braking, and more.
The premium model of the 2024 Toyota Wildlander elevates luxury with 360-degree panoramic images, electric rear doors, front seat heating and ventilation, a 4G network, mobile App remote control, and an advanced HUD head-up display system.
Safety is paramount in the Wildlander, with the entire series equipped with 7 SRS airbags, even the lower configurations. The latest Toyota TSS (Toyota Safety System) 2.0 version brings cutting-edge safety technology. In crash tests by the China Insurance Automobile Safety Index, Toyota TNGA products, including GAC Toyota's Levin and Camry, have consistently achieved high scores.
The Wildlander offers three powertrain options: a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine with 126 kW and 209 N·m of torque paired with a CVT transmission; a 2.5-liter dual-engine hybrid system delivering 163 kW with EV pure electric mode and E-Four four-wheel drive; and a high-performance 2.5-liter plug-in hybrid system boasting 132 kW and 224 N·m from the engine, plus 134 kW and 270 N·m from the electric motor, matched with an E-CVT transmission.
