has officially made its grand debut, presenting a stunning range of 11 distinct models.
Showcasing a bold and distinctive design, the Wildlander stands apart from its sibling, the FAW Toyota Rongfang. The most striking difference lies in the front fascia, where the Wildlander features an enlarged trapezoidal grille reminiscent of the Lexus spindle grille. This imposing front is complemented by narrow, 'squinting' headlights that exude an air of cold precision. Moreover, the Wildlander's fog lamps are designed with a larger imitation air intake, further enhancing its aggressive stance.
While the front design is bold and unconventional, the Wildlander's side and rear profiles share more similarities with the RAV4. Notable differences include a ring-shaped taillight design and the addition of a rear bumper fog light. The vehicle features a dual-side exhaust system, a standard across both fuel and hybrid models, ensuring a uniform and stylish rear aesthetic.
In terms of dimensions, the Wildlander measures 4665 mm in length, 1855 mm in width, and 1680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2690 mm. These measurements place it comfortably within the mainstream range for its segment, closely matching the size of the Rongfang, though with slight variations due to its unique design.
Inside, the Wildlander mirrors the interior design of the Rongfeng, featuring a multi-linear center console with a clean, straightforward visual effect and clearly defined functional areas. The 10.1-inch floating central display is a highlight, offering both dark and light interior color schemes for diverse aesthetic preferences.
The entry-level 2024 Toyota Wildlander (2.0-liter CVT two-wheel drive) offers the same pricing but includes new front and rear parking sensors, TSS Toyota Intelligence Safety System-comprising full-speed adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, departure warning, active braking, and more.
The premium model of the 2024 Toyota Wildlander boasts a plethora of advanced features, including 360-degree panoramic cameras, electric rear doors, heated and ventilated front seats, 4G connectivity, mobile App remote control, and a HUD head-up display system, ensuring an enhanced driving experience.
Safety is paramount in the Wildlander, equipped with 7 SRS airbags as a standard across all configurations, alongside the latest generation of Toyota TSS (Toyota Safety System) version 2.0. The Wildlander offers three powertrain options: a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine (126 kW, 209 Nm torque, CVT transmission), a 2.5-liter gas-electric hybrid (163 kW, EV mode, E-Four all-wheel drive), and a high-performance 2.5-liter plug-in hybrid (132 kW engine, 224 Nm torque, 134 kW electric motor, 270 Nm torque, E-CVT transmission).
