On 28 May 2024, the Seal 06 DM-i, a groundbreaking mid-sized sedan from BYD Ocean, made its grand debut. This innovative vehicle features the cutting-edge fifth generation DM-i technology and offers two impressive pure electric range options: 80 km and 120 km. The stunning dimensions of the Seal 06 DM-i include 4830 mm in length, 1875 mm in width, 1495 mm in height, and a generous wheelbase of 2790 mm. It caters to diverse preferences with 16-inch, 17-inch, and 18-inch rim choices. The front showcases an integrated design with diversion fins and a distinctive 'big mouth' grille, while the sides feature sleek, semi-hidden door handles. The rear is adorned with a through-through tail light group and stylish blackened light shells.
The Seal 06 DM-i impresses with its through-through LED taillights and a meticulously redesigned interior, highlighted by an illuminated 'BYD' logo. The rear design harmoniously complements the front, featuring a diffuser and color-coordinated trim. This exquisite model is available in four captivating colors: Qinhai Green, Warm Smoke Tea, Atlantis Gray, and Snow White.
Engineered for endurance, the Seal 06 DM-i is equipped with robust lithium iron phosphate blade batteries in two capacities: 10.08 KWH and 15.874 KWH. These power options provide pure electric ranges of 80 km and 120 km, respectively, under CLTC conditions. Additionally, the vehicle boasts impressive fuel efficiency, with a comprehensive consumption of 2.9 liters per 100 kilometers for the 80 km model and 3.08 liters for the 120 km model under NEDC conditions. The 120 km version supports 22 kW DC fast charging and 6.6 kW AC slow charging (with a 7 kW household charging pile included), while the 80 km version offers 3.3 kW AC slow charging.
The Seal 06 DM-i is generously equipped with an array of features, including original ETC, 6 airbags, rear air vents, and tire pressure monitoring. The 120 km model elevates luxury with a panoramic sunroof, DiPilot driver assistance system, remote airbag, 4-way electric passenger seat adjustment, and a car tachorecorder. The top-tier model adds an 8-speaker audio system, front seats with ventilation/heating, 8-way electric main seat adjustment with memory, induction wipers, and a PM2.5 green cleaning system.
Inside, the Seal 06 DM-i boasts an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch rotating entertainment host, supporting OTA remote updates, CarPlay, mobile internet access, and online video streaming. The multifunctional steering wheel, ambient lighting, advanced audio system, electronic shift lever, and wireless charging pad further enhance the driving experience. Electric adjustable leather seats with 8-way customization add to the luxury feel, making the SEAL 06 a truly impressive vehicle.
The interior design follows a sophisticated family style, featuring a D-type multifunction steering wheel and a floating LCD instrument panel coupled with a central control screen.
